Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Design Engineer with 8-12 years of experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of fire protection systems and strong technical expertise in designing. Proficiency in Revit is considered an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

1. System Design & Engineering : Develop detailed designs for fire protection systems including sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and passive fire protection solutions.
2. Technical Documentation : Create comprehensive technical drawings, schematics, hydraulic calculations,



and design documentation for fire protection systems.
3. Coordination : Work closely with other engineering disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural) to ensure system integration and resolve design conflicts.
4. Code Compliance : Ensure all designs meet relevant local and international fire codes, standards, and regulations (including NFPA, IBC, UL, and local jurisdiction requirements).
5. Client Consultation : Participate in client meetings to understand requirements, present design solutions, and address technical queries related to fire protection.
6. Quality Control : Review design deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements & fire codes.
7. Technical Support : Provide technical support to BIM drafting/Modelling team for fire protection system implementation.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in Fire protection system design for various building types.
- Solid knowledge of Fire protection systems including sprinklers, standpipes, fire pumps, fire alarm systems, and special hazard suppression systems.
- Experience working on diverse project types including commercial, residential, hospitality, and institutional buildings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and related engineering software
- Revit proficiency is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of relevant fire codes and standards (NFPA, IBC, UL).
- Experience with hydraulic calculations and fire modelling software.
- Experience preparing technical reports, specifications, and presentations
