We are looking for an experienced Fire Guard to support fire prevention, emergency response, and fire-safety operations at a large IT company/IT park. The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in fire operations, preferably within an IT, ITES, corporate, or large commercial facility.

The Fire Guard will be responsible for continuous fire-safety monitoring, routine inspections of fire-fighting systems, emergency response, and assisting in the safe evacuation of employees and visitors during emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular fire-safety patrols across the IT campus, office floors, common areas, parking areas, electrical rooms, server/technical areas, and other designated locations.
- Monitor the premises for potential fire hazards and immediately report unsafe conditions.
- Check the availability and accessibility of fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, fire alarm systems, emergency exits, and other fire-fighting equipment.
- Respond immediately to fire alarms and other emergency situations.
- Assist in initial fire-fighting operations using appropriate fire-fighting equipment.
- Support emergency evacuation procedures and guide employees, visitors, and contractors to designated assembly points.
- Maintain transparent access to fire exits, emergency routes, fire equipment, and fire-fighting access areas.
- Assist the Fire Officer/Fire & Safety Team during fire drills, mock evacuation drills, and emergency preparedness activities.
- Monitor fire alarm panels and immediately communicate any alarm, fault, or abnormal condition to the concerned team.
- Coordinate with the Security Control Room and facility/engineering teams during fire-related emergencies.
- Maintain daily fire-safety inspection and patrol records.
- Report defective fire-fighting equipment, blocked emergency exits, electrical hazards,



and other safety observations.
- Assist during emergency situations involving electrical equipment, UPS rooms, DG areas, server/technical areas, and other critical IT infrastructure, strictly as per site procedures.
- Follow the client's emergency response plan, fire-safety procedures, and permit-to-work/safety requirements.
- Participate in regular training and maintain readiness for emergency response.
- Perform other fire-safety duties assigned by the Fire Officer or Site Management.

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Fire Operations / Fire & Safety.
- Previous experience in an IT company, IT park, ITES facility, corporate office, or large commercial facility is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, fire alarm systems, fire pumps, emergency exits, and basic fire-fighting procedures.
- Diploma/Certificate in Fire & Safety is preferred.
- NEBOSH IGC certification will be an added advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Physically fit and capable of responding quickly during emergencies.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
- Should be disciplined, alert, and capable of following strict client-site safety procedures.
