Role Summary:

We are looking for a technically strong Fire Alarm & Detection System professional with hands-on experience in installation, wiring, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting and O&M; of addressable fire alarm and industrial fire protection systems. The candidate should be capable of independently understanding drawings and executing the complete fire alarm/detection scope at live industrial sites.

Key Technical Responsibilities:

Installation, termination, testing and commissioning of Addressable Fire Alarm & Detection Systems.

Hands-on experience with Honeywell, Notifier and preferably other major fire alarm systems.

Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP), Main Panels and Repeater Panels.

Complete understanding of fire alarm cabling, loop wiring, termination, cable routing and cable testing.

Programming and configuration of Addressable Fire Alarm Systems, including device addressing, zoning, cause & effect and logic programming.

Installation and commissioning of fiber optic communication between fire alarm panels/repeater panels and associated systems.

Experience with internal looping, SLC loops, modules, MCPs, sounders, hooters, strobes and interfaces.

Installation, testing and programming/interface of Deluge Valves, pressure switches and associated detection/control logic.

Hands-on experience with Foam Systems / Foam Monitors and their control/interface with fire alarm systems.





Installation and commissioning of Beam Detectors, Multi-Criteria Detectors, Flame Detectors and other specialized detection systems.

GAS / GRABBER detection system experience will be an added advantage.

Understanding of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) interfaces with fire alarm and fire protection systems.

Ability to understand GA drawings, Fire Fighting drawings, Fire Alarm layouts, SLDs, wiring diagrams and Cause & Effect matrices.

Systematic testing, fault finding, troubleshooting and rectification of fire alarm systems.

Testing of detector loops, modules, sounder circuits, communication networks and panel interfaces.

Integration of fire alarm systems with Fire Pumps, Deluge Systems, HVAC, PA systems, BMS/SCADA and other plant systems, wherever applicable.

Post-installation operation & maintenance (O&M;) and breakdown troubleshooting.

Preparation of testing/commissioning reports and maintaining proper site documentation.

Ensure compliance with applicable fire safety standards, project specifications, quality requirements and site safety procedures.

Essential Skills & Competencies

4–5 years minimum hands-on experience in Fire Alarm & Detection Systems.

Must have independently worked at existing/live industrial facilities, not only residential/commercial buildings.





Strong practical knowledge of Honeywell / Notifier or equivalent addressable fire alarm systems.

Authorized OEM training/certification from Honeywell, Notifier or another reputed fire alarm manufacturer is highly preferred.

Robust understanding of electrical wiring, instrumentation, cable termination and troubleshooting.

Ability to work independently at site and take technical responsibility for the complete fire alarm scope.

Should be able to coordinate and supervise fire alarm subcontractors/contractors and technicians.

Existing network of competent fire alarm contractors, technicians and vendors will be an added advantage.

Strong focus on safety, compliance, quality and workmanship.

Preferred Industrial Experience

Candidates with experience in

Cement Plants | Steel Plants | Power Plants | Oil & Gas | Manufacturing Plants | Process Industries | Large Industrial Projects will be preferred, particularly those who have worked on brownfield/live operating plants.

Key Requirement

> The candidate must be a hands-on technical specialist in Fire Alarm & Detection Systems—not merely a fire-fighting supervisor.

The core competency should be Fire Alarm Panel + Addressable Loop + Programming + Detection + Cause & Effect + Deluge Interface + Repeater/Fiber Communication + Commissioning + Troubleshooting + O&M.;

Mechanical hydrant/fire-fighting installation experience is useful but secondary. The primary requirement is strong technical command over the Fire Alarm & Detection System.

Qualification: Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Fire & Safety or relevant technical discipline.

Experience: 4–5 years minimum; 5–8 years preferred for an independent site-lead role.
