About the role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Manager to manage the company's day-to-day finance and accounting operations. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely compliance, effective cash-flow management, strong financial controls, and providing meaningful financial insights to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and preferably experience in managing finance operations in a growing organisation.

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
- Prepare and review Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements and other financial reports.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Review and reconcile bank, vendor, customer and other balance sheet accounts.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis

- Prepare budgets, forecasts and periodic financial projections.
- Track actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Prepare management reports and dashboards highlighting key financial trends and business performance.
- Provide financial insights to management to support business and operational decisions.
- Identify areas for cost optimisation and improved financial efficiency.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

- Monitor daily/weekly cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity.
- Manage receivables and payables to optimise working capital.
- Track outstanding customer receivables and coordinate with relevant teams for timely collections.
- Review payment schedules and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Support management in cash-flow planning and forecasting.

4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure timely compliance with applicable GST, TDS, income tax and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with external consultants, auditors and tax advisors wherever required.
- Review statutory filings and ensure accuracy of supporting documentation.
- Stay updated on relevant changes in accounting, taxation and regulatory requirements.

5. Audit & Internal Controls

- Coordinate internal and statutory audits and ensure timely closure of audit requirements.
- Prepare schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents required for audits.
- Establish and maintain appropriate financial controls and approval processes.
- Identify financial and operational risks and recommend corrective measures.
- Ensure adherence to company finance policies and procedures.





6. Business Finance Support

- Work closely with HR, Sales, Operations and other business teams on finance-related matters.
- Review commercial proposals, contracts and business transactions from a financial perspective.
- Support management in evaluating costs, profitability and financial implications of business decisions.
- Provide timely financial information and analysis to senior management.

7. Team Management

- Manage and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Allocate responsibilities and ensure timely completion of finance activities.
- Review the team's work for accuracy and compliance.
- Build effective processes and improve finance operations through automation and standardisation.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance qualification will be an added advantage.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Good understanding of GST, TDS, income tax and statutory compliance.
- Experience with accounting/ERP systems such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, Zoho, Keka or similar platforms.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and MIS reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with deadlines.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
