Position Overview

We are looking for a Manager – Financial Accounting & Planning to strengthen financial reporting and support better business decisions at Me N Moms. The role combines accurate accounting and month-end closure with budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and management reporting.

The person will work closely with the accounts team and business leaders across retail, e-commerce, quick commerce, distribution, and warehouses.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting and Reporting

- Oversee month-end closing and ensure accurate recording of revenue, expenses, provisions, and accruals.
- Review the general ledger, balance sheet schedules, and key reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and management reports.
- Investigate accounting variances and ensure timely correction of entries.
- Coordinate with auditors and the accounts team for financial reviews and audit requirements.

Budgeting and Financial Planning
- Prepare annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and monthly cash flow projections.
- Compare actual results with budgets and forecasts; explain major variances and recommend action.
- Work with department heads to review spending, planned investments, and expected returns.
- Develop financial models to support pricing, expansion, marketing spend, and other business decisions.

Business and Channel Profitability
- Analyse profitability by channel, including retail, e-commerce, quick commerce, and distribution.
- Review sales,



gross margin, discounts, marketplace fees, advertising spend, logistics costs, returns, and other key expenses.
- Prepare store-wise, category-wise, and SKU-wise analysis where data is available.
- Identify margin leakage and cost-saving opportunities, and follow through with the relevant teams.

MIS and Management Support
- Maintain a monthly finance dashboard with revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, cash flow, and key working capital measures.
- Present concise financial insights and action points to management.
- Improve the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of finance reports.
- Partner with sales, operations, supply chain, and marketing teams to validate assumptions and resolve data gaps.

Candidate Profile
- Graduate or postgraduate qualification in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting. CA, CMA, or MBA Finance is preferred.
- Strong experience in financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Ability to prepare and interpret profit and loss statements and explain business performance clearly.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and large-data analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems and cross-functional financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and follow-up skills.
- Experience in retail, consumer products, e-commerce, or a multi-channel business is preferred.

Success Measures The role will be measured on timely and accurate financial closure, reliable budgets and forecasts, clear variance reporting, visibility into channel profitability, and actionable recommendations that improve margins and cost control.
