Job Overview The Financial Analyst / Real Estate Underwriter is responsible for evaluating real estate investment opportunities, performing detailed financial analysis, and supporting the underwriting of acquisitions, developments, dispositions, and asset management strategies. The role focuses on financial modeling, market research, investment analysis, due diligence, and asset performance monitoring while collaborating with Acquisitions, Asset Management, and Accounting teams to support real estate investment decisions.

Duties & Responsibilities

- - Build and maintain detailed financial models for real estate acquisitions, developments, and dispositions.
- Analyze cash flows, returns, IRR, NPV, sensitivity scenarios, and deal structures.
- Conduct market research and analyze economic trends, rent comps, and sales comps.
- Assist in underwriting commercial or multifamily real estate investments across various asset types.
- Prepare investment summaries, pitch decks, and internal/external presentations.
- Collaborate with Acquisitions, Asset Management, and Accounting teams to support decision-making.
- Participate in due diligence, including reviewing leases, financials, and third-party reports.
- Monitor existing asset performance and update financial models accordingly.
- Support senior leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.

Education & Training




- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or Master s degree is a plus. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in real estate financial analysis or underwriting. Knowledge, Skills & Experience

- Strong knowledge of real estate financial modeling.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with investment metrics such as IRR, Cap Rate, and DSCR.
- Solid analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Experience with Argus, CoStar, or other real estate tools is a plus.
- Background in commercial real estate, multifamily, office, industrial, or retail assets is preferred.
- Exposure to private equity, REITs, brokerage, or real estate investment firms is preferred.
