- Team Head, Finance Service Delivery

Position Overview The Team Head- Finance Service Delivery will have overall accountability for leading a high-performing finance operations team and delivering accurate, timely, controlled and value-focused services to clients. The incumbent will own service delivery, operational governance, financial controls, stakeholder engagement, risk management and continuous improvement. As the senior finance contact for the engagement, the role will be expected to anticipate client needs, resolve complex issues, drive service excellence and build a scalable delivery model.

The position requires a qualified CA or CMA with substantial finance operations experience, strong commercial judgement and a proven record of leading teams in a demanding client-service environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Service delivery ownership: Assume end-to-end accountability for the finance service portfolio, consistently meeting or exceeding service-level, quality, accuracy and turnaround-time commitments.
- Client leadership: Serve as the senior point of contact for client stakeholders, understand business priorities, provide transparent updates and build trusted, long-term relationships.
- Team leadership: Build, lead and retain a high-performing finance team through clear accountability, effective work allocation, performance management, coaching, competency development, succession planning and adequate backup coverage.
- Finance operations: Direct and review accounts payable, employee expenses, general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, corporate card processing, month-end close and suspense account management.
- Financial control and risk: Establish and enforce a robust control workplace covering approvals, supporting documentation, general ledger coding,



segregation of duties, reconciliations, access controls and timely closure of exceptions.
- Governance and reporting: Lead operational governance forums; review dashboards, ageing, capacity, productivity, quality and risk indicators; and present clear insights, decisions required and recovery plans to management and clients.
- Escalation management: Take ownership of critical service issues and escalations, mobilize cross-functional support, complete root-cause analysis and ensure timely implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Transformation and value creation: Develop and execute a continuous-improvement roadmap covering standardization, automation, digitization, productivity enhancement, cost efficiency and control strengthening.
- Compliance and audit: Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards, tax and regulatory requirements, internal policies and client procedures, including GST and withholding tax where relevant; lead timely closure of audit observations.
- Transition and change: Lead migration and stabilization of new finance processes, including due diligence, process documentation, risk assessment, control design, knowledge transfer, resource planning and operational-readiness sign-off.
- Cross-functional partnership: Partner effectively with clients, auditors, tax, procurement, technology, treasury,



vendors and other internal functions to deliver integrated solutions and timely decisions.

Experience

- Minimum 15 year of relevant experience in finance and accounting, including at least 5 years in a leadership role with responsibility for people, controls and client service delivery.
- Demonstrated breadth across accounts payable, employee expenses, general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, management reporting, controls and audit support
- Strong track record of improving service performance, strengthening controls, managing senior stakeholders and delivering transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting a bank, financial institution or other highly regulated organization is strongly preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of ERP, accounting, payment and expense platforms; experience with SAP, Oracle, SAP Concur and related workflow or reporting tools is desirable

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong capability in data interpretation and management reporting
