Role Summary The role will lead and oversee core Finance, Accounting, Treasury and Compliance activities of the HFC, ensuring timely closure of books, accurate loan and income accounting, effective reconciliations, provisioning, financial reporting, statutory and regulatory compliance, audit coordination, lender reporting and management MIS. The position will work closely with Treasury, Credit, Operations, Collections, Business, Branches, lenders, auditors and regulators and will be responsible for strengthening financial controls and reporting discipline.

Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting

- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closure of books of accounts and ensure timely preparation of Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and supporting schedules.
- Review General Ledger, sub-ledgers, journal entries, accruals, provisions, income and expense recognition and ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
- Oversee EMI / Pre-EMI receivables, pending collection mapping, bounce and pay customer accounting, trade receivables and other receivable reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate income recognition, NPA-related reversals, accrued interest entries and other loan-related accounting in line with applicable accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review accounting and reconciliation of housing loans and LAP, including disbursements, collections, foreclosures, part-payments, refunds and adjustments.
- Review provisioning, write-offs and recoveries and ensure appropriate accounting treatment and supporting documentation.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, depreciation and maintenance of the fixed asset register.
- Monitor actual versus planned income and expenses and provide variance analysis to management.

Treasury, Borrowings & Liquidity

- Monitor daily fund position, liquidity requirements, expected collections, disbursements and funding obligations.
- Oversee accounting and reconciliation of bank borrowings, interest accruals,



borrowing costs, lender statements and repayment obligations.
- Review timely EMI payments and accounting for term loans, direct assignments, co-lending arrangements and other funding structures, wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions on loan documentation, lender requirements, due diligence, audits and periodic information requests.
- Review stock statements and lender data, including management and CA-certified submissions.
- Coordinate data and information requirements for investors, arrangers and rating agencies.

Regulatory, Tax & Compliance

- Oversee Income Tax matters including advance tax workings, tax provisions, returns and ITR-related requirements.
- Review GST, TDS and other applicable statutory compliances and ensure timely reconciliation and payment of statutory dues.
- Coordinate SFT forms, PBC returns and other applicable statutory / regulatory submissions.
- Oversee NHB data requirements, NHB supervisory audit data submissions and periodic NHB returns including CRAMIS, ARRS and HFR, as applicable.
- Ensure finance and accounting processes remain aligned with applicable RBI/NHB directions, Companies Act requirements, Ind AS and internal accounting policies.

Audit, Controls & Governance

- Act as a key finance contact for Limited Review, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit and GST Audit and coordinate timely submission of schedules, confirmations and supporting documents.
- Coordinate lender audits, due diligence exercises, regulatory inspections and other external reviews as required.
- Review audit observations, identify control gaps, coordinate corrective actions and monitor closure of open points.
- Strengthen maker-checker controls, reconciliations, documentation and audit trails across Finance, Treasury and accounting processes.

MIS, Management Reporting & Board / ALM Support





- Prepare and review periodic MIS covering collections, disbursements, portfolio, income, expenses, liquidity, borrowings and profitability.
- Review collection efficiency MIS and portfolio-related financial analytics and highlight material trends or exceptions to management.
- Prepare management and lender reporting packs with accurate and reconciled financial data.
- Prepare finance and treasury data for Board / Committee and ALM meetings and support management discussions with financial analysis.
- Provide timely financial information for budgeting, forecasting and business planning.

Key Deliverables / KPIs

- Timely and accurate monthly / quarterly / annual closure of books.
- Accuracy of P&L;, Balance Sheet, loan accounting and financial MIS.
- Timely completion of bank, LMS, GL, receivable, payable and lender reconciliations.
- Timely regulatory, tax, statutory, lender and audit submissions.
- Effective management of liquidity, borrowings and finance costs.
- Timely resolution and closure of audit observations and reconciliation exceptions.
- Strong internal financial controls and quality of management reporting.

Required Qualification & Experience

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 35+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Relevant experience in HFC, NBFC, banking or financial services is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to loan accounting, financial reporting, treasury, borrowings, provisioning and regulatory reporting.
- Strong understanding of Ind AS, financial statements, audit processes and applicable tax/statutory compliances.
- Experience in working with senior management, lenders, auditors, rating agencies and regulatory stakeholders.

Technical & Qualified Skills

- Advanced MS Excel and financial modelling / MIS capabilities.
- Working knowledge of ERP / Zoho books / accounting systems and Loan Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, documentation and audit trails.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
- High integrity, ownership, accuracy and ability to work under strict reporting timelines
