Role Summary

The Finance Analyst is responsible for financial reporting, general ledger accounting review, profitability analysis, investment control, and compliance activities. The role requires close collaboration with Finance controller, outsourced accounting teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preparation of Financial Statements

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with Indian GAAP, US GAAP and Companies Act requirements. • Liaise with auditors and coordinate the audit process to ensure timely completion.

2. Results Review & Profitability Analysis

• Review financial results and conduct profitability analysis for assigned areas. • Analyze and investigate financial trends; report findings to the Center Controller.

3. General Ledger Accounting and review

• Perform general ledger accounting review activities. • Validate accounting entries processed by outsourced organizations, including pre-paid expenses, accruals, and allocations.

4. Cost Allocation Review

• Review cost allocation cycles and assess the need for changes. • Analyze outcomes of allocation runs and recommend improvements.

5. Investment & Project Control

• Analyze and control investments, including CAPEX and projects. • Manage project structures, perform project planning and budget assignment.

• Oversee project settlement rules, monitor project revenue and cost execution, and ensure proper project closure.

Intercompany Cost Recharges

• Request intercompany cost recharges as required.

7. Period-End Closing

• Finalize overall period-end financial results. • Investigate variances, negative trends, or exposures and report findings to the Center.

8. Internal Controls Execution

• Execute internal controls in accordance with the established control framework.

9. Compliance

• Understand and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. • Adhere to SLB's Code of Conduct and all applicable financial regulations.

10. Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Review balance sheet reconciliations and oversee the clearing of open items by outsourced organizations. • Certify the completeness of balance sheet notes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. • Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP and Companies Act requirements.

• Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance frameworks.

• Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems.

• Solid analytical skills with high attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with auditors, outsourced teams, and internal stakeholders.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
