Role Description The Finance, Accounting and Tax Expert will oversee core financial operations, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management for Evaratus. This on-site role, based in India, involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing general ledgers, and ensuring accurate documentation of transactions.

The expert will handle tax planning and compliance, including computation of direct and indirect taxes, filing returns, and keeping up to date with relevant Indian tax regulations and statutory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams and external auditors, supporting regulatory filings, optimizing internal controls, and advising leadership on financial risks and opportunities.



This position requires close collaboration with management to support strategic decisions, cost optimization, and long-term financial sustainability.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in financial accounting and reporting, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Expertise in taxation, particularly Indian direct and indirect tax laws, compliance, return filing, and tax planning.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cost control to support data-driven business decisions.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP tools, along with solid skills in spreadsheets and financial modeling.
- Knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements in India, including corporate law, GST, TDS, and audit processes.
- Ability to design and maintain internal controls, risk management practices, and documentation standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work accurately under deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external advisors.
- Relevant professional qualification such as CA, CMA, CPA (or equivalent), or a master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Prior experience in a tech or high-growth company environment is an advantage.
