Role description

Role: Senior Test Engineer / QA Engineer Location: Mumbai Experience: 3-6 Years Responsibilities Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing for Finacle CBS 10.2x applications. Strong understanding of Finacle CBS functionalities and banking processes. Analyze business requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Development, DevOps, IT, and Support teams for testing activities. Execute manual and automated test cases and report defects. Validate application changes during upgrades, patches, and releases. Perform API testing using REST services, Swagger, Postman, and related tools. Verify database transactions using Oracle, DB2, or MSSQL databases. Execute SQL queries for backend validation and data verification. Perform performance, load, and stress testing; identify bottlenecks and report issues. Participate in UAT support and production validation activities. Track and manage defects using Jira, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing tools. Validate deployments in Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Tomcat, and cloud environments. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain test documentation, test reports, and knowledge repositories. Support production testing and critical release activities as required.



Mentor junior testers and support project delivery.

Technical Skills Must Have

Experience in Manual Testing and QA processes. Finacle CBS product knowledge. Robust understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC. Hands-on experience in API Testing (REST, Swagger, Postman). Strong SQL and Database Testing experience.

Experience with Oracle Database along with DB2 or MSSQL.

Defect

Management using Jira, ServiceNow, or similar tools. Test case preparation, execution, and defect tracking. Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
