Role Description This full-time, on-site Field Services Engineer role is based in Pune City and focuses on supporting customers using ASMPT SMT equipment and solutions.

The Field Services

Engineer will perform installation, commissioning, and configuration of hardware and software at customer sites, ensuring systems operate according to specifications. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, executing repairs, performing preventive maintenance, and optimizing equipment performance. The role also involves providing technical guidance and training to customer personnel, documenting service activities, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex issues. The engineer will maintain strong customer relationships by delivering timely support,



clear communication, and proactive service recommendations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Field Service skills, including on-site installation, commissioning, and equipment configuration.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting abilities, with experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues on complex machinery.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support capabilities, including remote and on-site assistance, documentation of service cases, and collaboration with engineering teams.
- Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance experience, including routine inspections, calibration, and performance optimization of production equipment.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, including clear communication, expectation management, and professional interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications include a diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Beneficial skills include familiarity with SMT production processes, industrial automation, and basic networking or software integration concepts.
- Ability to read technical schematics, use diagnostic tools, and work safely in industrial environments; willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
