Role & responsibilities

- Conduct multiple rounds of field interviews with students, teachers, headmasters and parents in Marathi- and English-medium schools.

- Assess students' prerequisite learning gaps and validate them against our internal concept mapping.

- Run early first-reaction sessions with small groups of students on prototype material; after the pilot, extend the study to a larger sample of schools and students.

- Research existing education technology platforms operating in Maharashtra what they offer, and what students actually receive.

- Visit Balbharati and SCERT Maharashtra to understand curriculum, textbook and policy direction, and how our platform can align with it.

- Visit Government and Municipal Corporation education departments to understand how education policy is implemented on the ground schemes, programmes, and who takes which decisions.

- Prepare institutional approaches to Government, Municipal and corporate CSR teams identifying the right officers, arranging meetings, preparing briefing notes, attending with the Founder and following up.

- Produce honest, structured research reports, and maintain the school database and accurate records of contacts, field notes,



follow-ups and written parental consent, which is obtained before every student interaction.

Preferred candidate profile

- Postgraduate degree in Education, Social Work, Sociology, Market Research, Psychology or Development Studies.

- 0 – 3 years in field research, survey work, education, or social-sector work, NGOs working in government or aided schools, or market research experience.

- Teaching experience of any kind, including private tuition.

- Familiarity with Balbharati textbooks and the Marathi-medium school system.

- Fluent Marathi, spoken and written — interviews are conducted with respondents who do not speak English.

- Excellent communication in English, ability to create structured analytical reports.

- Willingness to travel regularly across Pune city and District, to rural and semi-urban schools.

- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.

- Ability to establish rapport quickly with a wide range of people.

- Based in Pune or willing to relocate.

- Two-wheeler and valid driving licence (not a requirement — conveyance is reimbursed).
