Company Description Social Education Economical Development Society (SEEDS) is a non-profit organization that has been advancing sustainable development and community empowerment since 1995. SEEDS focuses on marginalized rural communities, supporting over 100,000 farmers and their families across multiple states, a union territory, and 29 districts. The organization promotes socio-economic equity, environmental conservation, and gender equality through sustainable agriculture, water conservation, FPO strengthening, and biodiversity restoration.

Key initiatives include organic and climate-resilient farming, watershed development, and disaster resilience to protect vulnerable communities. Role Description The Field Level Community Resource Person is a full time, on-site role based in Virudhunagar. This position involves working closely with farmers and community members to support sustainable agriculture, water conservation, and community development initiatives. Daily responsibilities include conducting field visits, mobilizing community groups, collecting and documenting field data, and facilitating awareness sessions or trainings on best practices.





The role also includes providing basic troubleshooting support for program-related issues, coordinating with SEEDS staff and local partners, and assisting in monitoring project progress.

The Community Resource

Person will represent SEEDS at the village level, ensuring timely communication, feedback, and support to strengthen local participation and impact.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage effectively with farmers, community members, and partner organizations.

- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to collect, interpret, and report field data and community feedback.

- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to identify and address basic implementation challenges in the field.

- Candidates should possess Training and facilitation skills to conduct community meetings, awareness programs, and capacity-building sessions.

- Experience in rural development, agriculture, or community-based projects is highly beneficial.

- Ability to travel within Virudhunagar district and work in diverse field conditions.

- Basic proficiency in local languages and clear written and verbal communication in English or regional language.

- Minimum educational qualification: higher secondary or graduate degree in social work, agriculture, rural development, or related field preferred.
