Role Description The FEA Engineer – Bus Structure is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for structural analysis and optimization of electric bus bodies and chassis. Day-to-day tasks include creating and refining finite element models, performing static and dynamic structural simulations, and evaluating strength, stiffness, durability, and crash performance of bus structures.

The role involves interpreting test and simulation results, preparing clear technical reports, and collaborating closely with design, manufacturing, and validation teams to recommend design improvements. The engineer will work with relevant CAE tools, ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards,



support design reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of analysis methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in structural mechanics, finite element analysis, and vehicle/transportation structures, with the ability to apply engineering principles to bus body and chassis design.
- Proficiency in FEA and CAD/CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, HyperMesh, or similar) and experience building, meshing, and validating complex structural models.
- Experience with static, dynamic, fatigue, and crash simulations, plus familiarity with relevant automotive or commercial vehicle standards and regulations.
- Ability to analyze results, draw clear conclusions, and communicate findings through concise technical reports, presentations, and design recommendations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams in an in office environment.
- Experience in electric or commercial vehicle development and an interest in sustainable mobility are highly beneficial.
- Good command of English for technical communication and documentation; familiarity with Indian and international bus standards is a plus.
