Role Overview

We are looking for a customer-focused ANSYS FEA Application Engineer with strong finite element analysis fundamentals and hands-on experience in ANSYS Mechanical. The role involves executing structural simulations, delivering customer training, providing technical support, conducting product demonstrations and carrying out proof-of-concept studies.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform linear and nonlinear structural analyses using ANSYS Mechanical.
- Conduct static, modal, harmonic, transient, buckling, thermal and thermo-mechanical analyses.
- Prepare simulation models, including geometry cleanup, meshing, material definition, boundary conditions and solver setup.
- Interpret and validate simulation results and prepare technical reports.
- Deliver classroom, online and onsite ANSYS training for customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations and execute customer proof-of-concept studies.
- Present simulation methodology, results and recommendations to customers.
- Troubleshoot modelling, meshing, convergence, solver and post-processing issues.
- Support customers during software evaluation, implementation and adoption.
- Assist the sales team with technical qualification, proposals and presales activities.
- Develop application examples, case studies and reusable demonstration models.
- Collaborate with CFD,



electromagnetic and other application teams on multiphysics opportunities.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of FEA fundamentals, engineering mechanics, strength of materials, heat transfer and vibration.
- Hands-on experience with Ansys Mechanical/ Ansys Workbench.
- Experience in meshing, contact modelling, material modelling and convergence troubleshooting.
- Ability to independently execute simulation and proof-of-concept assignments.
- Robust technical-report writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Confidence in delivering customer demonstrations and training.
- The candidate should be willing to travel for customer meetings, onsite training and project delivery.

Preferred Skills

- Familiarity with Ansys Workbench, APDL, Python scripting or simulation automation.
- Knowledge of fatigue, fracture, composites, explicit dynamics, rotordynamics or topology optimization.
- Any hand's on experience with any of the tools (ANSYS LS-DYNA, ACP, nCode DesignLife, Motion, Discovery or optiSLang) will be an advnatage.
- Exposure to automotive, aerospace and defence, energy, manufacturing, oil and gas or heavy-engineering applications.

Qualification

Ph.D or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive, Civil or a related engineering discipline. ANSYS certifications or specialised FEA training will be an advantage.
