We are looking for an organized, commercially driven, and proactive Fashion Merchandiser with 2–3 years of experience in women’s ethnic wear / apparel merchandising.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating between design, sourcing, sampling, production, vendors, inventory, and sales teams to ensure products are developed and delivered on time while maintaining quality standards and target costing.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the complete product development process from design concept to final production
- Work closely with designers to understand collection requirements and product specifications
- Prepare and maintain product development sheets, tech packs, costing sheets, BOMs, and order details
- Source fabrics, trims, embellishments, accessories, and other materials
- Coordinate with fabric suppliers, printers, embroidery vendors, manufacturers, and job workers
- Follow up on sampling, approvals, corrections, and production timelines
- Track sample development and ensure timely completion
- Maintain costing, consumption, measurement, and material details
- Negotiate with vendors to achieve the required quality and target costing
- Coordinate with production teams for timely order execution
- Monitor production progress and resolve delays or product-related issues
- Conduct quality checks and ensure products match approved samples and specifications
- Maintain vendor databases and build relationships with reliable suppliers
- Track purchase orders, quantities, dispatches, and delivery schedules
- Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams when required
- Monitor market trends, competitor products, pricing, fabrics, and customer demand




- Support the design team in identifying commercially viable fabrics, techniques, and product categories
- Maintain seasonal collection and production calendars
- Prepare regular reports on sampling, costing, production, and delivery status

Required Skills

✅ Robust understanding of women’s ethnic wear and Indian apparel manufacturing

✅ Knowledge of fabrics, printing, embroidery, embellishments, garment construction, and finishing

✅ Strong costing and negotiation skills

✅ Good understanding of production processes and lead times

✅ Excellent vendor coordination and follow-up skills

✅ Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills

✅ Ability to manage multiple styles, orders, and deadlines simultaneously

✅ Strong communication and problem-solving skills

✅ Excellent attention to detail

Preferred Experience

Candidates with 2–3 years of experience in fashion merchandising / apparel merchandising will be preferred.

- Embroidery and printing
- Artisan-based production

Experience dealing with Indian textile suppliers, garment manufacturers, job workers, embroidery vendors, and printing units will be an added advantage.

Education

Bachelor’s / Diploma in

- Fashion Merchandising
- Fashion Design
- Apparel Production
- Textile Design
- Or a related field
