Role Description As a Fashion Design Intern at HBe Designs, you will support the design team with research, sketching, fabric selection, and the development of bespoke garments for clients. You will assist in preparing mood boards, technical drawings, and collection concepts that align with the brand’s aesthetic of “Effortless Precision.” Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with pattern makers and tailors, helping with fittings, taking measurements, and documenting alterations to refine fit and construction. You will also contribute to organizing sample pieces, maintaining design archives,



and supporting on-site client consultations in the studio.

This is an internship role, based on-site in Mumbai, offering hands-on experience in a bespoke fashion environment.

Qualifications

- Foundational design skills, including fashion sketching, concept development, and creating mood and inspiration boards.
- Basic understanding of pattern making, garment construction, and tailoring for both menswear and womenswear.
- Knowledge of fabrics, trims, and materials, with an interest in performance blends, linen/cotton mixes, and traditional luxury textiles.
- Strong attention to detail, measurement accuracy, and ability to document fittings, alterations, and design changes clearly.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software; familiarity with CAD for fashion is an advantage.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with designers, artisans, and clients in an on-site studio environment.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Interest in bespoke fashion, professional workwear, and client-centric design; prior internship or project experience in a fashion studio is a plus.
