Orikai is a premium kidswear brand where timeless tailoring meets playful charm. Inspired by old-money aesthetics, we create classic, well-crafted clothing for children aged 2 to 12. We’re looking for a curious, detail-oriented Design Intern to join our on-site team and grow with us.
Responsibilities
- Assist in sketching, sampling, and styling for upcoming collections
- Work closely on fabric sourcing, trims, and swatches
- Coordinate with tailors and vendors during the development process
- Help organize fittings, lookbooks, and photo shoot prep
- Create tech packs and documentation for production
- Assist in research and development of collections
- Check quality of finished garments
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design or related field
- Internship or coursework experience in kidswear, womenswear, or tailored garments is a plus
- Basic understanding of fabrics, garment construction, pattern-making and finishing techniques
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator or hand sketching
- Organized, proactive, and excited to learn in a fast-moving startup
Availability
- Full-time, 6 days per week
- Available full time on-site in Mumbai
- Duration: 3 months
- Start Date: Immediately
- Stipend: Paid internship
