Role Description

This is a remote, volunteer role for a Senior FastAPI Engineer in a SaaS-oriented technology environment. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain FastAPI-based backend services and APIs that support The Tann Mann Gaadi’s wellness and sanitation solutions. Day-to-day tasks include implementing scalable and secure endpoints, integrating external services and databases, reviewing and refactoring code, and resolving bugs and performance issues.

The role also involves collaborating with other volunteer engineers, product contributors, and stakeholders to translate social-impact requirements into technical solutions, contributing to architecture decisions, and documenting systems for maintainability.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess robust skills in Software Development and general Programming,



with experience building and maintaining production-grade APIs.

Candidates should possess proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), including clean code principles and reusable component design.

Candidates should possess solid Debugging skills, including troubleshooting, performance optimization, and testing practices.

Candidates should possess familiarity with Embedded Systems or related low-level integrations, or be willing to learn in this area as needed.

Experience with FastAPI, Python, RESTful APIs, and modern SaaS architectures (cloud deployment, CI/CD, containerization) is highly beneficial.

Comfort working in a remote, collaborative environment, with clear communication and documentation skills.

Prior experience in social-impact, non-profit, or public health technology projects is a plus but not required.

A background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
