Role Summary:

The Executive - RD / Technical will be responsible for conducting and monitoring RD and production trials as per approved formulations, SOPs, and product specifications. The role will ensure effective implementation of RD formulations at plant scale, monitor production batches, conduct testing, identify process and quality deviations, and support new product development and formulation optimization in coordination with Production, QC, Procurement, and RD teams.

Key Responsibilities:

RD and Production Trials:

- Conduct and monitor RD and production trials as per approved formulations and SOPs.
- Ensure proper implementation of RD formulations at plant scale.
- Monitor production batches and identify process or quality deviations.
- Conduct comparative trials and benchmarking against competitor products.
- Support new product development and formulation optimization.

Testing Quality Monitoring:

- Carry out routine testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Monitor product performance against defined specifications and testing procedures.
- Monitor the performance of raw materials and identify batch-to-batch variations.
- Troubleshoot issues related to workability, setting time, strength, adhesion, appearance, consistency, and other product parameters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable SOPs, specifications, testing procedures, and quality standards.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

- Coordinate with Production, QC, Procurement, and RD teams for technical requirements and trial execution.
- Support Production and QC teams in resolving process and product-related technical issues.
- Coordinate with relevant teams for implementation of corrective and preventive actions.




- Provide technical inputs for product improvement and process optimization.

Documentation Reporting:

- Maintain proper records of trial reports, test results, batch observations, and corrective actions.
- Prepare technical reports and trial summaries as required.
- Assist in preparation and updating of SOPs, COAs, and product specifications.
- Maintain proper documentation of product development, testing, and plant trial activities.

Laboratory Plant Trial Area Management:

- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and discipline within the laboratory and plant trial area.
- Follow established laboratory safety procedures and testing protocols.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of raw materials, samples, and testing equipment.

Required Qualifications: B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Polymer Technology / Chemistry / Construction Materials or relevant technical qualification.

Experience Industry Background:

0-2 years of experience in RD, Quality, Technical Services, or Production trials, preferably in the Building Materials / Construction Chemicals industry.

Skills Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of Building Materials and product testing.
- Understanding of RD formulations and plant-scale production trials.
- Knowledge of raw material, in-process, and finished product testing.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Solid analytical and documentation skills.
- Good coordination and cross-functional communication abilities.
- Ability to interpret test results and identify process/product deviations.
- Good understanding of SOPs, specifications, and quality standards.
- Proficient in MS Excel and technical documentation.
