Purpose of the Role:

This position is responsible for planning, engineering, execution, integration, commissioning and sustainment of controls, automation, industrial networking and digitization systems across manufacturing facilities. The role ensures timely project execution, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and delivers departmental objectives aligned with Technical Services and PVBU goals.

Job Responsibilities

Facility & Automation Execution

- Lead controls planning and automation architecture development.
- Design, program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
- Coordinate suppliers, FAT, SAT, tool buyoff and commissioning.
- Commission VFDs, Servo drives, Motion Control and Safety PLCs.
- Execute legacy PLC migration projects.

Industrial Networks & Integration

- Design Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, ProfiNet, Profibus, Modbus, CCLink, CCLink-IE and Serial networks.
- Configure OT infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, OPC-UA and Kepware.
- Integrate MES, ERP and SCADA platforms.

Digitization & Industry 4.0

- Implement sensor integration, data acquisition and analytics projects.
- Deploy digital dashboards and KPI monitoring systems.
- Support Digital Twin and simulation technologies.
- Drive AI, IoT and advanced manufacturing initiatives.

Documentation & Compliance

- Prepare control philosophy, network architecture, safety documentation and user manuals.
- Maintain engineering standards and cybersecurity compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation or Controls Engineering.

Experience: 5–10 years with global OEMs in Automotive project.

Functional/Technical

- PLC/HMI/SCADA expertise (Rockwell preferred).
- Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, ProfiNet, Profibus, Modbus TCP/RTU and RS232/485.
- VFDs, Servo Systems, Motion Control and Safety Systems.
- OT Networking, Managed Switches, Firewalls, OPC-UA and Kepware.
- MES, SCADA, Industry 4.0 and Digital Twin technologies.
- Supplier management and project execution skills.
