Role & responsibilities

- Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) Data Analysis: Lead data analysis for diverse research projects covering Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), Whole Exome Sequencing (WES), Targeted Panels, RNA-Seq, Microarrays, and other high-throughput modalities.
- Cross-Functional Support: Provide end-to-end analytical support to meet the day-to-day data needs of the core Analysis team.
- Data & Storage Management: Responsible for the structured management, organization, and storage optimization of large-scale genomic data for the Bioinformatics team.
- QC & Reporting: Generate Quality Control (QC) metrics and author preliminary research reports based on data insights.
- Pipeline Development & Automation: Write robust scripts to automate analysis workflows and develop scalable bioinformatics pipelines.

Preferred candidate profile

- Technical Expertise: Solid hands-on experience with NGS data analysis tools and frameworks (WGS, WES, RNA-Seq).
- Programming Skills:



Proficiency in scripting languages used in bioinformatics (such as Python, R, or Bash/Shell scripting) for pipeline development and automation.
- Data Management: Familiarity with managing large biological datasets, Linux/Unix environments, and cloud or high-performance computing (HPC) storage systems.
- Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to interpret complex genomic data, perform stringent QC, and translate findings into clear, structured preliminary research reports.
- Education: Masters or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a closely related quantitative field.
