Role & responsibilities

- Lab Operations & Oversight: Supervise day-to-day wet lab activities and ensure accuracy for all sample processing, DNA extraction, and Exome library preparation reports.
- Team & Roster Management: Manage staff duty schedules, allocate lab tasks, and train team members on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and equipment handling.
- Assay & Quality Improvement: Develop and optimize wet lab protocols (e.g., target enrichment, hybridization, sequencing runs) and drive continuous quality control (QC) improvements.
- Critical Value & CAPA Management: Verify critical or alert test results before data release, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for any laboratory deviations.
- Biosafety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to infection control (IPC), personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, waste disposal, and public health reporting guidelines for high-risk samples.
- Confidentiality & Safety: Maintain absolute patient data privacy and actively monitor workplace occupational safety and health procedures to minimize lab risks.
- Operational Continuity:



Escalate major incidents or adverse reports to management, support team mental health reporting, and step in for the Team Leader when absent.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Execute any other wet lab or administrative duties assigned by superiors.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: Masters degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related life sciences field.
- Wet Lab Expertise: Hands-on experience with genomic DNA extraction, quality control (Qubit/Bioanalyzer), and NGS library preparation for Whole Exome Sequencing (WES).
- Compliance & Safety: Robust understanding of laboratory biosafety protocols, proper PPE/IPC usage, handling of infectious samples, and maintaining strict clinical documentation.
