About Kotak Education Foundation:

Kotak Education Foundation (KEF), with 19 years of expertise in educational transformation, has been on the mission to support children and youth from underprivileged families through different Education-based interventions to empower them to rise above the poverty line and lead a life with dignity through sustainable processes. Since 2007, our "inch wide, mile deep" approach has enabled us to develop a deep understanding of the education system. To date, we have worked with over 8,00,000+ students, 22,000 teachers, and 2,700 school leaders across 5 states in government and low-income private-aided schools , along with supporting 6,250 scholars and training over 26,500 youth.

KEF works with some of Indias most economically underprivileged communities, attempting to alleviate poverty through education and livelihood programs. Armed with its vast experience and expertise, KEF s philosophy has evolved from school as a unit to working toward district/state-level education transformation. As KEF expands its ambit, it is helping drive systemic reform and state education transformation to create long-term impact at Scale.

KEF s approach is primarily three-pronged-

a. holistic interventions with children and educators in school,

b. equitable scholarships for higher studies, and c. vocational education and skills training for livelihood.

School Education

Bringing transformation in education through capacity building of leaders, teachers, and government change-makers. Strengthening school leadership and teacher capacity building, creating a digital ecosystem and learning setting in schools, equipping middle school students with confidence and skills of communicative English, upskilling teachers to provide Foundational Literacy Numeracy skills, and supporting districts in building and running Model Schools - these are key interventions run by KEF.

Youth Development

1. Scholarship - Merit-cum-means support to students studying in Class 11-12 through the Kotak Junior scholarship , and for the ones completing graduation, a Kotak Graduate scholarship . We also have a scholarship program for meritorious girls aiming at Top NIRF colleges, which is Kotak Kanya Scholarship .

Kotak Shiksha Nidhi

Scholarship , is a crisis scholarship to support children to complete their education for the ones who lost their one/ both parents during the pandemic and Kotak Suraksha Scholarship for specially abled children. All scholarships are paired with mentoring, career and life skill guidance.

2. Vocational Education - Investing in training programs for youth to secure employment and break out of the vicious circle of disadvantage. KEF s Vocational Education Livelihood Project upskills unemployed youth from economically weaker sections of society and coaches them in domain know-how, the basics of IT and spoken English,



life skills and personality development. It ensures placements for all eligible participants so they can stride with confidence into any professional sphere.

Role Responsibilities: The role will support the CEO across four core dimensions:

Executive Support to CEO and Executive Committees Office Enablement

- - Provide high-quality, end-to-end executive support to the CEO and Executive Committee, including proactive management of a complex calendar, preparation of expense reports, handling confidential correspondence, and coordination of detailed travel plans, itineraries, agendas, and briefing materials.

- Act as a trusted gatekeeper and gateway to the CEO s time and office, ensuring priorities are managed thoughtfully and access is structured to create value for both internal and external stakeholders. Communicate directly, and on behalf of the CEO and Executive Committee, with Trustees, senior leaders, employees, consultants, and partners on matters linked to organizational priorities and programmatic initiatives.

- Review, prioritize, and manage incoming requests, issues, and correspondence addressed to the CEO, including sensitive and confidential matters; exercise sound judgment in determining next steps, escalation, delegation, or response.

- Serve as a critical bridge between the CEO s office and internal teams, fostering smooth communication, trust, and alignment across senior leadership and functions.

- Work closely with the CEO and Executive Committee to ensure awareness of upcoming commitments, emerging risks, and key responsibilities; act as an organizational barometer by staying attuned to internal and external developments.

- Lead and support special projects on behalf of the CEO and Executive Committee that may have broader organizational impact, bringing structure, follow-through, and execution discipline.

- Take hands-on ownership of critical deliverables, including drafting correspondence, acknowledgements, notes, and other materials that enable the CEO to focus on strategic leadership.

- Manage multiple, competing priorities with maturity and discretion; handle matters proactively and efficiently, following through to successful completion even under tight deadlines.

Board Support Trustee Liaison

- - Serve as the CEO and Executive Committee s primary administrative liaison with the Board of Trustees.





- Coordinate logistics and preparation for Board and Board Committee meetings, ensuring timely compilation and advance circulation of materials in line with governance requirements and bylaws.

- Maintain the highest standards of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interactions with Trustees and Board members.

Senior Management Leadership Coordination

- - Function as a support partner to the Executive Leadership Team, including assisting with scheduling, coordination, and smooth functioning of senior management meetings, off-sites, and all-staff forums.

- Support agenda-setting, documentation, and follow-through for leadership discussions and decisions.

- Draft, edit, and finalize first versions of written communications from the CEO to external stakeholders and partners.

Strategic Initiatives External Engagement Support

- - Work closely with the Strategy team to support coordination of the CEO s outreach, engagements, and priority initiatives.

- Track and follow up on key relationships and conversations initiated by the CEO, supporting continuity and long-term relationship-building.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor s or Master s degree in any discipline. Preference for Business Management, Economics, Development Management, Liberal Arts, or Finance.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in consulting, social impact, or the NGO/development sector.

Experience in the Indian social development sector is an advantage.

Key Skills: Strong strategic planning and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support senior leadership. Excellent written and verbal communication, including drafting correspondence, briefing notes, and presentations. Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the maturity to engage with senior leaders, Trustees, partners, and cross-functional teams.

Sound judgment, discretion, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail. Strong planning, coordination, and follow-through skills, along with adaptability, self-awareness, and openness to feedback.

Role Details: Permanent | Mumbai | 8 hours per day, 6 days a week
