Role Overview

We are looking for an SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) L2 AMS Consultant to provide functional application support for warehouse operations. The role involves incident and service-request handling, issue analysis, configuration support, coordination with L3/technical teams, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement of SAP EWM processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L2 AMS support for SAP S/4HANA EWM incidents, service requests, changes, and user queries within agreed SLAs.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve functional issues related to warehouse operations; escalate complex defects to L3 teams where necessary.
- Monitor tickets, prioritize critical business issues, provide timely updates, and ensure closure with proper resolution documentation.
- Support end-to-end EWM warehouse processes, including:
- Inbound delivery processing
- Goods receipt and putaway
- Warehouse task and warehouse order management
- Stock removal, picking, packing, staging, and goods issue
- Outbound delivery processing
- Physical inventory and cycle counting
- Stock types, stock transfers, posting changes, and scrapping
- Handling units (HU), batch-managed stock, and serial number processes
- Support warehouse structure configuration and master data, including warehouse number, storage types, storage sections, activity areas, work centers, doors, staging areas, and process-oriented storage control.
- Assist in configuring and supporting putaway, picking, replenishment, slotting, rearrangement, and exception handling processes.
- Coordinate with SAP MM, SD, PP, QM, TM, and ABAP teams to resolve integration-related issues.
- Support EWM integration with S/4HANA ERP processes,



including deliveries, inventory postings, production supply, and goods movements.
- Perform initial analysis of EWM queues, IDocs, warehouse monitor errors, delivery inconsistencies, and interface failures.
- Prepare functional specifications for minor enhancements, reports, forms, interfaces, and fixes.
- Support unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and deployment validation for changes and releases.
- Maintain incident records, knowledge articles, SOPs, test scripts, and functional documentation.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements, preventive actions, and automation opportunities.
- Support business users with training, process clarifications, and post-deployment hypercare activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of SAP EWM experience, including at least 2–3 years in AMS or production support.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM, preferably embedded EWM.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management and logistics business processes.
- Functional knowledge of inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes, physical inventory, and handling unit management.
- Experience in troubleshooting warehouse task, warehouse order, delivery, stock, and process configuration issues.
- Good understanding of EWM integration with MM, SD, PP, QM,



and ABAP.
- Exposure to EWM Monitor, queues, IDocs, error handling, and interface troubleshooting.
- Experience working with ITSM processes such as incident, problem, change, and release management.
- Familiarity with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with decentralized EWM, RF framework, mobile RF devices, barcode scanning, and printer configuration.
- Knowledge of Production Integration, Warehouse Process Types, Process-Oriented Storage Control (POSC), Layout-Oriented Storage Control (LOSC), and Labor Management.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori applications for warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of EDI, IDocs, APIs, and middleware integration is desirable.
- SAP EWM certification is an added advantage.
- Experience supporting global warehouses, multi-site operations, or 24x7 support models is preferred.
