Job Overview
- Position: Primary EVS Teacher (PRT)
- Target Grades: Classes 1 to 5 (Primary Level)
- Curriculum Alignment: CBSE, IBoard standards
- Core Objective: Spark curiosity about the natural world, build basic scientific observation skills, and promote eco-friendly habits early.
Key Responsibilities
- Lesson Planning: Create age-appropriate, interactive EVS lesson plans using hands-on activities, storytelling, and visual aids.
- Experiential Learning: Conduct simple classroom experiments, nature walks, and project-based tasks to connect textbook concepts to real life.
- Environmental Awareness: Instil a sense of responsibility toward conservation, ecosystems, waste management, and respect for nature.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, inclusive, positive,
and child-friendly workplace where students feel encouraged to ask questions.
- Assessments & Grading: Design worksheets, quizzes, and formative assessments to track student progress; provide constructive feedback.
- Parent Communication: Regularly update parents on student development during parent-teacher meetings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field plus a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of primary teaching experience (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and high energy suited for young children.
- Basic digital literacy to integrate smartboards or multimedia tools into lessons.
