Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and well-organized Event Management Associate (Operations) - River Cruises to manage social, corporate, private and other events conducted onboard cruise vessels. The person will be responsible for coordinating the complete event life cycle from planning and client coordination to onboard execution and successful closure.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand client requirements and prepare event plans, schedules and quotations.
- Coordinate with clients, vessel operations, crew, caterers and external vendors.
- Plan and manage dcor, catering, entertainment, music, photography and other event requirements.
- Prepare detailed event checklists and timelines.
- Conduct pre-event inspections and ensure all arrangements are ready before guest boarding.
- Coordinate guest boarding, seating, hospitality and VIP requirements.
- Supervise the complete event execution onboard and ensure smooth coordination between all teams.
- Handle last-minute issues and resolve operational challenges during events.
- Monitor food service, entertainment, dcor and overall guest experience.
- Ensure compliance with vessel safety and operational procedures.
- Coordinate event closing, vendor dismantling and vessel handover.
- Maintain event records, expenses, vendor bills and post-event reports.




- Collect client feedback and identify areas for improvement.

Candidate Profile

- Experience in Event Management, Hospitality, Cruise, or related industries preferred.
- Excellent English communication, coordination and client-handling skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage events independently.
- Good knowledge of MS Office/Excel.
- Willingness to work during evenings, weekends and event days.
- Presentable, responsible and proactive with robust attention to detail.
- The ideal candidate should be capable of taking ownership of an event from initial planning through successful execution and closure.
