Designation : EV Technical Service & Diagnostics Engineer

Location : Chakan, Pune

Qualification & Experience : Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, or Automobile Engineering with 2–5 years of relevant experience in EV service, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Nexzu Mobility Ltd. is seeking a skilled and hands-on Service Engineer responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and technical support of electric cycles, electrical systems, electronic components, batteries, motor controllers, and other EV-related systems. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in diagnosing electrical and electronic faults, repairing electronic components, battery-related issues, motor and controller troubleshooting, wiring, sensors, and EV systems.

1. EV System Diagnosis & Troubleshooting

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues in electric cycles and EV systems.

Identify root causes of vehicle failures and provide appropriate corrective solutions.

Inspect vehicle electrical systems, wiring, connectors, sensors, switches, and control units.

Perform systematic fault finding using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.

Conduct inspection and testing of vehicles before and after repair.

2. Electrical & Electronic Component Repair

Diagnose and repair defective electronic components, PCBs, wiring harnesses, connectors, switches, relays, fuses, DC-DC converters, displays, chargers, and other electrical parts.

Perform component-level troubleshooting wherever applicable.

Check voltage, current, resistance, continuity, and other electrical parameters.

Identify damaged or faulty components and coordinate for replacement or repair.

Ensure repaired components meet required performance and safety standards.

3. Battery & BMS Troubleshooting

Diagnose and troubleshoot EV battery packs, Battery Management Systems (BMS), battery connectors, wiring, and protection circuits.

Check battery voltage, cell voltage, charging/discharging conditions, and abnormal battery behavior.

Troubleshoot battery-related issues such as charging failure, low range, voltage imbalance, BMS errors, and communication faults.

Perform battery inspection and testing as per defined safety procedures.

Maintain records of battery failures, repairs, replacements, and test results.

Follow all required safety procedures while handling lithium-ion batteries.

4. Motor & Motor Controller Service

Diagnose and troubleshoot BLDC motors, motor controllers, throttle systems, and related electrical circuits.

Check motor performance, abnormal noise, heating, vibration, and operational issues.

Troubleshoot motor controller faults and communication-related issues.

Check throttle, brake cut-off, Hall sensors, motor phases, and related wiring.

Support testing and replacement of motors and controllers when required.

5. Vehicle Electrical System & Wiring

Inspect and repair vehicle wiring harnesses and electrical connections.

Identify loose connections, short circuits, open circuits, insulation damage, and connector failures.

Ensure correct routing and secure installation of electrical wiring.





Perform continuity and insulation checks.

Support improvement of wiring and electrical systems based on field failures.

6. Diagnostic Tools & Testing

Use multimeters, DC power supplies, battery testers, diagnostic tools, soldering/rework stations, and other electrical testing equipment.

Interpret electrical measurements and diagnostic error codes.

Perform functional testing of repaired components and complete vehicles.

Maintain testing and calibration records wherever applicable.

Support development and improvement of service diagnostic procedures.

7. Field & Customer Technical Support

Provide technical support to service centers, dealers, technicians, and customers.

Attend field complaints and assist in resolving technical issues.

Analyze recurring field failures and provide technical feedback to the concerned departments.

Conduct technical training and guidance for service technicians when required.

Support service teams in complex vehicle repairs and troubleshooting.

8. Warranty & Failure Analysis

Inspect warranty-related technical complaints and determine the root cause of failure.

Analyze failed components and prepare failure reports.

Identify repeated failures and recommend corrective and preventive measures.

Maintain records of warranty claims, component failures, repairs, and replacements.

Coordinate with Quality and R&D; teams for product improvement based on field data.

9. Preventive Maintenance & Service

Carry out preventive maintenance and periodic inspection of EVs and related systems.

Prepare and follow service checklists and standard operating procedures.

Ensure vehicles are serviced and repaired within the defined turnaround time.

Maintain service history and repair records for vehicles and components.

Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working practices in the service area.

10. Technical Documentation & Reporting

Prepare service reports, failure analysis reports, inspection reports, and repair records.

Document recurring technical issues and recommended solutions.

Maintain records of replaced components, battery repairs, controller failures, and other service activities.

Provide regular technical feedback to the Service Manager / Engineering team.

Support preparation and updating of service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and SOPs.

11. Safety & Compliance

Follow all electrical and battery safety procedures during inspection, testing, and repair.

Ensure safe handling, charging, storage, transportation, and disposal of batteries and electrical components.

Follow company SOPs, safety standards, and applicable EV regulations.

Use appropriate PPE and safety equipment during service and repair activities.

Immediately report unsafe conditions, electrical hazards, and major technical failures.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities





✔ EV Service & Troubleshooting – Strong practical knowledge of electric vehicles, electric cycles, electrical systems, and fault diagnosis.

✔ Electrical & Electronics – Good understanding of voltage, current, resistance, circuits, wiring, connectors, relays, fuses, sensors, and electronic components.

✔ Battery & BMS – Knowledge of lithium-ion battery packs, BMS, charging systems, cell voltage, battery diagnostics, and battery safety.

✔ Motor & Controller – Practical knowledge of BLDC motors, motor controllers, throttle systems, Hall sensors, brake cut-off systems, and motor wiring.

✔ Electronic Component Repair – Ability to identify and repair/replace defective electronic components, PCBs, connectors, wiring, and related parts.

✔ Diagnostic Equipment – Hands-on experience with multimeters, battery testers, DC power supplies, soldering/rework equipment, and other electrical testing tools.

✔ Electrical Wiring – Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and troubleshoot harnesses, connectors, short circuits, and open circuits.

✔ Problem Solving – Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective solutions.

✔ Technical Documentation – Ability to prepare service reports, failure analysis reports, repair records, and technical documentation.

✔ Communication Skills – Ability to communicate effectively with customers, service technicians, dealers, production, quality, and engineering teams.

Preferred Experience

2–5 years of experience in EV / electric vehicle / electric cycle / automotive electrical and electronics service.

Hands-on experience in repairing electronic components, batteries, BMS, motor controllers, BLDC motors, chargers, displays, and wiring harnesses.

Experience in field service, dealer service, warranty support, or EV technical support will be preferred.

Experience in lithium-ion battery troubleshooting and safety procedures will be an added advantage.
