External:

This role is basically the brain behind enterprise endpoint and device strategy across the digital workplace. Youll be owning how endpoints are defined, managed, secured, and evolved over time.

Think of it as sitting right in the middle of strategy, engineering, ops, and vendors — setting direction, defining standards, and making sure everything actually runs clean across regions.

You’re not just planning — you’re governing, influencing, and ensuring endpoints are secure, scalable, cost-efficient, and aligned with business + security goals.

What You’ll Own

1. Endpoint Vision & Platform Direction

- Define the overall endpoint strategy across corporate-managed devices.
- Decide and govern approved platforms, OS environments, and tools (like Intune, MECM, Jamf, etc.).
- Push org towards modern, cloud-first endpoint management.
- Reduce dependency on legacy setups and outdated systems.
- Align endpoint strategy tightly with identity systems, security frameworks, and Zero Trust architecture.

2. Device Lifecycle Ownership (End-to-End) You’ll control the full lifecycle — from planning to retirement:

- Device selection & standardization
- Enrollment and provisioning frameworks
- Configuration, patching, and compliance enforcement
- Refresh cycles, reuse strategy, and decommissioning

Also:
- Define lifecycle timelines balancing cost, UX, and security.
- Work closely with procurement, finance, and security teams to keep decisions aligned and transparent.

3. Standards, Policies & Governance

- Create and maintain endpoint baselines, configurations, and policies.
- Ensure everything is measurable, enforceable, and documented.
- Manage exceptions with proper risk tracking, approvals, and expiry timelines.
- Continuously refine standards based on security inputs, ops feedback, and business changes.

EUC Engineering Oversight

- Provide direction to endpoint engineering teams (even without direct reporting).
- Ensure platforms are scalable, resilient, and efficient.
- Drive consistency in builds, deployments, and configurations globally.
- Work with teams to improve automation, self-service models, and deployment workflows.

5. Vendor & Service Governance

- Own relationships and technical oversight for EUC vendors/service providers.
- Define scope, SLAs, and operational guardrails.
- Review vendor roadmaps and ensure alignment with enterprise direction.
- Act as escalation point for critical EUC/device-related issues.

6. Roadmap, Innovation & Optimization

- Build and maintain long-term EUC/device roadmap.
- Identify areas to reduce tech debt and simplify endpoint management.
- Evaluate new tools/technologies — decide what to adopt, standardize, or retire.
- Drive improvements using metrics, reviews, and user feedback loops.

7. Cross-Functional Influence

- Work closely with:

- Security
- Identity & access teams

- Infrastructure

- Collaboration/workplace teams
- Ensure endpoints integrate well with access controls and security posture.
- Clearly communicate strategy and decisions to both tech & non-tech stakeholders.
- Influence outcomes without needing direct authority.

Core Requirements

EUC / Endpoint Leadership

- Strong experience owning or leading endpoint/device strategy in enterprise setups.




- Proven ability to define standards and drive adoption across teams.
- Solid stakeholder management — balancing security, usability, and cost.

Endpoint Platforms & Ecosystem

- Hands-on depth with tools like Intune, MECM, Jamf (or similar).

- Strong understanding of

- Windows
- macOS

- Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- Experience managing compliance, configurations, and patching at scale.

Lifecycle & Operations Expertise

- Experience designing full device lifecycle frameworks.
- Ability to align lifecycle with procurement, finance, and security.
- Understanding of global endpoint operational models.

Security & Zero Trust Alignment

- Strong grip on endpoint security concepts:

- Device trust

- Compliance posture

- Access enforcement
- Experience working with cybersecurity teams.
- Ability to convert security requirements into practical, user-friendly endpoint policies.

Governance, Documentation & Tools

- Experience building technical standards, policies, and documentation.
- Ability to run governance models for decisions, exceptions, and roadmap control.
- Familiar with tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or similar.

Good-to-Have (Preferred)

- Certifications in endpoint management, device platforms, or security.
- Experience managing EUC across global/multi-region environments.
- Track record of modernizing endpoint ecosystems without breaking operations.
