Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, technically strong, and hardworking Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with 5–12 years of relevant experience in estimation, quantity surveying, billing, rate analysis, and preparation of detailed cost estimates for civil, infrastructure, building, and public works projects.

The candidate should have sound knowledge of PWD and CPWD Schedule of Rates, DSR, specifications, measurement procedures, rate analysis, BOQ preparation, and contractor billing, and should be capable of independently preparing accurate estimates and detailed measurements with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical ability, commercial understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple estimation and billing assignments within strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, architectural, infrastructure, and building projects.
- Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, abstract estimates, detailed estimates, and cost summaries from drawings and specifications.
- Carry out accurate quantity calculations for all major civil, structural, architectural, and finishing works.
- Prepare detailed rate analysis for scheduled and non-scheduled items based on material, labour, machinery, transportation, overheads, and applicable market rates.
- Work extensively with PWD Schedule of Rates, CPWD DSR, SSR, and applicable departmental specifications and guidelines.
- Prepare estimates based on current Schedule of Rates and analyse deviations for non-schedule or extra items.
- Prepare and verify contractor bills, running account bills, final bills, variation statements, and reconciliation statements.
- Prepare detailed measurement sheets and Measurement Book-based calculations for billing and certification.
- Verify quantities executed at site against approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, and actual measurements.
- Prepare and scrutinize detailed measurement sheets, quantity abstracts,



billing quantities, and supporting calculations.
- Check contractor submissions for accuracy, completeness, contractual compliance, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare extra-item and substituted-item rate analysis with proper justification and supporting market data.
- Assist in preparation and evaluation of tender estimates, tender BOQs, cost comparisons, and bid analysis.
- Prepare project cost forecasts, quantity reconciliations, and periodic cost reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, structural consultants, engineers, contractors, and site teams for quantity and billing-related matters.
- Review drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies, missing items, variations, and potential cost implications.
- Maintain proper records of estimates, measurements, rate analysis, approvals, revisions, and billing documentation.
- Support cost control by monitoring estimated quantities, executed quantities, billed quantities, and balance quantities.
- Assist in preparation of variation orders, deviation statements, escalation calculations, and cost impact assessments where required.
- Ensure all estimates and bills are technically accurate, properly documented, and supported with detailed calculations.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5–12 years of relevant experience in estimation, quantity surveying, billing, and rate analysis.
- Solid knowledge of PWD Schedule of Rates, CPWD DSR, SSR, departmental specifications, and standard measurement practices.
- Excellent understanding of rate analysis, BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, detailed estimation, and billing procedures.
- Ability to independently prepare accurate and detailed project estimates from architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.




- Strong experience in preparation and checking of RA Bills, final bills, measurement sheets, and detailed quantity calculations.
- Sound understanding of civil engineering materials, construction methods, labour productivity, machinery requirements, and market rates.
- Good knowledge of specifications, tender documents, contract conditions, and item descriptions.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation-related documentation.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD for reading drawings and quantity extraction will be preferred.
- Exposure to estimation software, ERP systems, or quantity take-off software will be an added advantage.

Candidate Profile The candidate should be hardworking, sincere, disciplined, detail-oriented, and highly responsible, with the ability to independently manage estimation and billing assignments from start to completion. The role requires a professional who can work under deadlines, handle large volumes of drawings and quantities, maintain a high degree of accuracy, and take complete ownership of assigned estimates, measurements, and billing documentation.

The candidate should also have strong coordination skills and be comfortable working with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and government or public-sector project documentation.

Preferred Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech/M.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Experience on government, PWD, CPWD, municipal, infrastructure, institutional, commercial, or large building projects will be preferred.
- Candidates with strong experience in both pre-contract estimation and post-contract billing / quantity surveying will have an added advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
