Role Description This is a full time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for an Estimation (Mech/Civil/E&I;) Engineer in the EPC Oil & Gas sector. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical, civil, and electrical & instrumentation (E&I;) works for pipelines, refineries, and related infrastructure projects.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing tender documents and technical specifications, performing quantity take-offs, obtaining and evaluating vendor quotations, and developing cost sheets and bid proposals. The engineer will coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to validate assumptions,



clarify technical queries, and optimize costs. The role also includes tracking market rates, maintaining estimation databases, supporting bid negotiations, and ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong estimation and cost engineering skills for mechanical, civil, and E&I; disciplines within EPC oil and gas projects.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs;, layouts, BOQs, and technical tender documents.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software/tools for quantity take-off, rate analysis, and cost breakdowns.
- Knowledge of EPC project workflows, construction methodologies, and industry standards in pipelines and refineries.
- Effective communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
- Relevant experience in estimation or costing in oil and gas, infrastructure, or industrial projects is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under bid deadlines with sound decision-making.
