Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Estimation Engineer to support the estimation and costing team in preparing accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, rate analysis, and tender documents for residential and commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Prepare and update BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for various construction activities.
- Assist in preparing detailed project cost estimates for materials, labour, and other construction activities.
- Carry out rate analysis for civil and finishing works.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify quantities and scope of work.
- Coordinate with the Project, Engineering, Purchase, and Design teams for estimation-related requirements.
- Collect and compare material and labour rates from vendors and contractors.
- Assist in preparing tender documents, comparative statements, and contractor quotations.
- Check contractor/vendor quotations against BOQ quantities and project specifications.
- Assist in preparing variation statements and cost impact reports.
- Maintain estimation records, BOQs, rate databases, and supporting documents.




- Support the senior estimation team in budgeting and cost control.
- Identify discrepancies in drawings, BOQs, and quotations and report them to the senior team.
- Ensure all estimation work is completed accurately and within the required timelines.

Required Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of Civil Engineering and construction activities.
- Understanding of BOQ, quantity take-off, rate analysis, and estimation.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD for drawing review and quantity understanding.
- Basic understanding of construction materials, specifications, and methods.
- Valuable numerical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of residential construction and finishing works will be an advantage.

Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- 24years of experience in estimation, quantity surveying, or construction-related work.
- Freshers with good technical knowledge and strong Excel skills may also be considered.
