Role Description The Equity Derivatives Analyst will be responsible for researching and analyzing equity derivatives linked to Indian listed companies, with a focus on options and futures markets. In this full-time remote role, the analyst will monitor market activity, assess pricing, volatility, and risk, and translate complex derivative structures into clear, accessible commentary for EquityTale’s users.

Day-to-day tasks include building and maintaining analytical models, preparing concise reports on derivative positions and market sentiment, and supporting the development of screening tools and data visualizations for equity and derivative instruments.



The analyst will collaborate with content and product teams to ensure derivative insights align with EquityTale’s unbiased, plain-English approach, and may contribute to pre-market briefs and special feature analyses as market conditions evolve.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills, including quantitative modeling, data interpretation, and risk assessment.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Trading and Equities, with familiarity in equity derivatives such as options and futures.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Finance, including market microstructure, valuation concepts, and derivative pricing basics.
- Candidates should possess transparent and effective Communication skills, with the ability to explain complex derivative concepts in plain English.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, NISM derivatives modules) are a plus.
- Experience working with market data tools, spreadsheets, and basic programming or scripting for analysis (e.g., Excel, Python, R) is beneficial.
- Prior experience in equity research, derivatives research, trading, or risk analytics in Indian markets is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage deadlines, and maintain high standards of accuracy and impartiality.
