Position Overview

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Nagapattinam, invites applications from qualified and passionate educators for the post of English Teacher (Classes IX, X & XI). The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong proficiency in the English language, effective teaching methodologies, and a commitment to holistic and value-based education in alignment with Chinmaya Vidyalaya’s ethos.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach English Language & Literature for Classes IX & X as per the CBSE curriculum
- Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered, and exam-oriented lessons
- Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
- Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations (Class X) through structured practice and assessment
- Design lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers, and evaluation tools
- Assess student performance and provide timely feedback and remedial support
- Maintain academic records, student portfolios, and progress reports
- Integrate ICT tools, smart boards, audiovisual aids, and digital resources in teaching
- Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication skills
- Participate actively in school activities,



seminars, workshops, and professional development programs
- Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and interdisciplinary activities
- Uphold school discipline, values, and ethical standards

Eligibility Criteria
- M.A. English with B.Ed. or equivalent qualification (mandatory)
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at the secondary level (CBSE preferred)
- Strong command over English grammar, literature, and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Familiarity with CBSE assessment patterns, competency-based questions, and NEP guidelines
