Job Purpose To support the Electrical Project team in the execution, installation, testing, commissioning, documentation, and maintenance of electrical systems at the project site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Electrical Engineer/Project Manager in day-to-day electrical project execution activities.
- Study and understand approved electrical drawings, SLDs, layouts, cable schedules, and technical specifications.
- Support installation of electrical equipment, panels, transformers, switchgear, cables, lighting systems, earthing, and related electrical works.
- Monitor electrical installation activities at site and ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other project teams for smooth execution of electrical works.
- Assist in cable laying, cable termination, glanding, tray installation, earthing, lighting, and equipment installation activities.
- Assist in inspection, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
- Maintain daily progress reports, checklists, inspection reports, measurement records, and other project documentation.
- Identify site issues, deviations, and material requirements and report them to the concerned senior engineer.
- Assist in material verification, reconciliation, and proper utilization of electrical materials at site.
- Coordinate with the Planning, QA/QC, Procurement, Stores, Safety, and Civil teams for project execution.




- Ensure electrical work is executed within the approved project schedule and quality requirements.
- Follow company/client safety procedures, PPE requirements, work permits, and electrical safety practices.
- Participate in site inspections, toolbox meetings, testing activities, and client/consultant coordination meetings.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings and completion/hand-over documentation.
- Perform any other electrical/project-related responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.

Technical Skills

- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and equipment used in EPC projects.
- Understanding of Electrical SLDs, GA drawings, cable schedules, and electrical layouts.
- Knowledge of electrical installation and testing procedures.
- Basic understanding of HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, MCC/PCC panels, DG sets, and electrical distribution systems.
- Knowledge of cable laying, termination, earthing, lighting, and electrical equipment installation.
- Basic knowledge of electrical testing instruments such as Megger, Multimeter, Earth Tester, and Clamp Meter.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.

Qualification

Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute.

Experience

02 years of experience in Electrical EPC / Power / Substation / Industrial / Infrastructure projects. Fresh Diploma candidates may also be considered.
