Geoserve is a fast-growing maritime startup modernizing commercial shipping operations with SaaS products used by ship operators, owners and charterers.
We're looking for an Engineering Manager who is a strong engineer first and a great people leader second. This is not a pure delivery or project-management role.
What you'll do
✅ Stay hands-on: write code, review PRs and own architecture (~30–40% technical)
✅ Design and scale distributed, cloud-hosted systems
✅ Lead, hire, mentor and grow a team of software engineers
✅ Own delivery, production uptime and engineering standards
✅ Partner with Product to turn business problems into smart solutions
✅ Bring fresh, out-of-the-box thinking,
including AI-assisted development
What you bring
? 10+ years in software engineering, 2–3+ years managing dev teams
? Current hands-on coding skills (Java, .NET, Python, Go or Node.js)
? Robust experience with cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP), microservices and CI/CD
? A track record of shipping SaaS or enterprise products end to end
? A smart, curious team player with low ego and high ownership
➕ Maritime, logistics or startup experience is a big plus.
Not the right fit if you no longer write or review code, or if your background is mainly QA, IT ops or cybersecurity.
