Role & responsibilities The Engineering Head will lead the engineering team for the Cluster Business and support business growth through new product development and engineering improvements. The role will involve developing new concepts, working closely with customers, managing product engineering, building technical capabilities, and developing cluster and interior kinematics products.

1. Lead concept development and innovation for next-generation automotive products and cluster systems.

2. Drive benchmarking, feature mapping, and competitor analysis to identify product improvement opportunities.

3. Support RFQs with optimized product concepts, BOMs, assembly concepts, and manufacturing solutions for competitive costing.

4. Lead technical discussions and customer approvals for new, complex, and strategic programs.

5. Represent engineering in customer meetings, presenting technology, innovation, VAVE, and product development initiatives.

6. Provide technical leadership during project execution and post-SOP to resolve critical engineering issues.

Conduct concept design and feasibility studies for complex products and manufacturing processes.

8. Guide teams in 3D modelling, assemblies, engineering drawings, and integration of kinematic mechanisms.

9. Strengthen engineering capabilities through standards, best practices, technology adoption, and skill development.

10. Align engineering strategy and capability development with long-term business and customer requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong background in automotive product engineering, cluster systems, or related areas.

- Proven ability to lead engineering teams in a large automotive manufacturing setup.

- Hands-on experience in product development, concept design, RFQ handling, customer interaction, and driving recent product initiatives.

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.

- Experience working closely with OEM customers and managing complex engineering and product development programs.
