Job Responsibilities

1. Technology Transfer: Execute technology transfer activities from R&D; to the pilot plant and commercial manufacturing, ensuring smooth transfer of processes, procedures and critical parameters.

2. Pilot Plant Operations: Plan, coordinate and execute pilot-scale batches, process trials, engineering batches and scale-up activities.

3. Process Scale-Up: Support scale-up of chemical processes from laboratory/pilot scale to commercial scale, identifying and addressing scale-up challenges.

4. Batch Documentation: Prepare, review and maintain technology transfer documents, batch manufacturing records, process flow diagrams, protocols, reports and related technical documentation.

5. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for improving yield, cycle time, productivity, solvent recovery, energy consumption and overall process efficiency.

6. Manufacturing Support: Provide technical support to Production during commercial batches, including investigation of process deviations, troubleshooting and implementation of corrective actions.





7. Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with R&D;, Production, QA, QC, Engineering, EHS and Regulatory teams for successful technology transfer and scale-up activities.

8. Technical Investigations: Participate in deviation, OOS/OOT, process failure and root-cause investigations related to transferred processes and recommend technically sound corrective/preventive actions.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

- 35 years’ experience in API Pharma / Specialty Chemicals / Chemical Manufacturing.

- Hands-on experience in technology transfer, pilot plant and process scale-up.

- Positive understanding of chemical processes, unit operations and process troubleshooting.

- Knowledge of GMP documentation, deviations, CAPA and change control.

- Exposure to MSAT / process development will be an advantage.
