Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Consumables Global Supply Chain Technical Services team in the Consumable business area. In this role, you will help ensure the quality of heavy castings through dimensional and non-destructive testing inspections, supporting compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

You will report to Manager-Quality, and the role location is Vadodara, India, with an onsite working model.

Team you will belong to

You will join the Technical Services team at the foundry unit, focused on quality inspection and verification of heavy castings. The team plays an important role in supporting manufacturing quality by ensuring castings meet required specifications and inspection standards.

The team works closely with the Production Department to support inspection activities and quality reporting. Team members are based in Vadodara and Ahmedabad.

What youll do

- Perform daily dimensional inspections of castings in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections, including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (DP) as required.
- Prepare dimensional inspection reports, NDT reports, and defectograms on a daily basis.




- Coordinate inspection findings and quality requirements with the production team.
- Support additional quality-related activities as required.

What youll bring

- Extensive experience of 8 to 10 years in heavy casting manufacturing and the inspection of large castings.
- Demonstrated capability in dimensional inspection of castings and interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
- SNT-TC-1A Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (DP).
- Diploma or Bachelor of Science (BSc) qualification.
- Ability to work independently and manage inspection activities during a shift.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with production teams.
- Organized and systematic working methods with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
- Commitment to secure working practices, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice to have

- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Good teamwork skills.
