Role & responsibilities

- Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of field instruments, control systems and associated equipment.

- Troubleshoot, calibrate and maintain pressure, temperature, flow, level and analytical instruments.

- Maintain control valves, actuators, positioners, transmitters, switches, sensors and weighing systems.

- Support PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, VFD and plant interlock systems, including fault diagnosis and restoration.

- Execute loop checking, instrument testing, commissioning and start-up support for projects and shutdown activities.

- Review alarms, trips and recurring failures; conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Maintain instrument history, calibration records, maintenance checklists, drawings, manuals and spare-parts data.

- Plan critical instrumentation spares and coordinate with stores, procurement, OEMs and service providers.

- Ensure compliance with permit-to-work, lockout/tagout,



statutory requirements and site EHS procedures.

- Participate in safety reviews, management of change, risk assessments and continuous-improvement initiatives.

- Coordinate shift and shutdown jobs to achieve planned timelines with minimum production interruption.

- Provide technical guidance to technicians and contractors and verify the quality of completed work.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech. in Instrumentation, Electronics & Instrumentation, Control Engineering or a related discipline.

- 2-6 years of relevant experience in instrumentation maintenance within a continuous-process plant.

- Experience in carbon black, chemical, petrochemical, tyre, power, cement or similar heavy-process industries will be preferred.

- Working knowledge of industrial safety practices and maintenance documentation is required.
