About The Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Staff Engineer specializing in Embedded Software to join our Bangalore-based team. This senior technical role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design, development, and implementation of firmware for next-generation Smart RF Amplifiers, Nodes, and Remote Telemetry Modules. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical lead, working closely with cross-functional teams across the globe to develop ARM-based firmware operating at both bare-metal and RTOS levels.

You will be responsible for bridging software engineering with RF hardware design by creating low-level drivers, implementing RF control algorithms, and managing wireless telemetry systems such as LoRaWAN. Your expertise will be instrumental in bringing complex hardware platforms to life, ensuring robust performance, reliability, and scalability of our innovative products.

This role requires a deep understanding of embedded systems, RF hardware, and wireless communication protocols. You will collaborate daily with US-based hardware, RF, and firmware teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring seamless integration of hardware and software components. Your contributions will directly impact the development of reliable, high-performance solutions that connect the world,



enabling our customers to achieve their digital transformation goals.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, practical experience, and interpersonal skills to excel in this senior role. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required, along with at least 8 years of embedded software engineering experience, preferably in a leadership capacity. Deep proficiency in ARM Cortex architecture, assembly language, linker scripts, and advanced C/C++ programming is essential.

You should have extensive experience working with RTOS such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or ThreadX, as well as bare-metal firmware development.

Practical knowledge of RF hardware control, including attenuators, equalizers, and AGC algorithms, is necessary.

Experience implementing and integrating LoRaWAN stacks and managing sub-GHz wireless transceivers is highly desirable. You should be comfortable reading schematics, interpreting data sheets, and debugging hardware using tools like Keil, GDB, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers. Strong collaboration skills are vital, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams across different geographies to co-design and validate hardware and firmware solutions.

Responsibilities

- Design, architect, and optimize low-level firmware for ARM Cortex-M and Cortex-A microcontrollers operating on RTOS platforms or in bare-metal environments.
- Implement and fine-tune RF control algorithms such as AGC, ALC, tilt compensation, and digital equalizers to enhance RF gain stages.
- Collaborate with hardware and RF teams to interpret schematics, guide pinouts, power management,



and peripheral routing for hardware integration.
- Develop robust peripheral drivers for interfaces including I2C, SPI, UART, and GPIO to control RF chips, sensors, and power management components.
- Design, integrate, and maintain LoRaWAN stacks and application layers for remote telemetry and IoT connectivity.
- Lead initial board bring-up, perform hardware/software co-debugging, and troubleshoot using industry-standard tools and techniques.
- Optimize system memory usage and performance, ensuring deterministic real-time operation and efficient resource management.
- Maintain high code quality through version control systems like Git and project management tools such as Jira, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
