Job Purpose The ELV & Gate Automation Support Technician plays a critical role in supporting the on-site physical execution of automation projects. Working directly under the supervision of a Senior Engineer, this individual handles the core manual, mechanical, and basic electrical tasks needed to safely install automatic gate systems, barriers, and smart building low-voltage networks.

Key Responsibilities & Duties1. Mechanical & Hardware Installation Support

- Assist the senior engineer in lifting, positioning, and structurally mounting heavy automated equipment including sliding/swing gate motors, boom barriers, and turnstiles.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks such as assembling gear racks, fixing mounting brackets, drilling into concrete walls/floors, and aligning physical limit switches.
- Support the physical placement of smart building hardware like outdoor CCTV cameras, biometric back-plates, and intercom units.

2. Cable Routing, Piping & Civil Preparation

- Handle physical cable pulling and routing through conduits across various site layouts (e.g., Cat6, multi-core copper control cables, power cables).
- Execute basic on-site routing tasks, including laying PVC/GI conduit pipes, casing-capping, and performing minor wall-chasing (jiri cutting) where required.
- Perform neat dressing and labeling of cables under the instruction of the senior engineer.

3. Site Housekeeping & Tool Management





- Take complete ownership of the site toolkit; ensure all specialized machinery (hammer drills, angle grinders, crimping tools, multimeters) are accounted for, cleaned, and safely packed away daily.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional working workplace at the client's premises by disposing of installation debris and packaging material.

4. Learning & Troubleshooting Assistance

- Assist the senior engineer during system testing and basic electrical troubleshooting by checking continuity or holding test parameters.
- Actively learn basic control board configurations, remote pairing, and app integrations to grow into an independent installer over time.

Education

ITI Certification (ITI Electrician / ITI Fitter preferred) OR Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, OR 10th/12th pass with practical technical experience.

Experience

0 to 2 years of experience assisting in electrical, fabrication, automation, or security system sites. Freshers with a strong willingness to learn are welcome.

Physical Fitness

High stamina and ability to handle manual on-site work, outdoor weather conditions, and handling heavy machinery components.

Logistics & Mobility

Must possess a personal two-wheeler (Bike) and a valid driving license. Ready to travel to local and outstation project sites daily.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
