Role & responsibilities

Responsible for the safe and reliable operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems associated with AHU/HVAC systems, chilling plants, utilities, and formulation/manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimum downtime and compliance with safety and GMP requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, and utility equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot MCC/PCC panels, control panels, motors, starters, contactors, relays, MCBs, MCCBs, overload relays, VFDs, and electrical wiring.
- Carry out electrical maintenance of AHUs, exhaust/ventilation systems, HVAC equipment, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, and associated utility systems.
- Troubleshoot motors, VFDs, sensors, proximity/limit switches, solenoid valves, control circuits, and machine interlocks.
- Support electrical maintenance of formulation equipment such as manufacturing vessels, mixers, granulators, blenders, FBDs, coating machines, tablet compression, filling/packing machines, and pumps.
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and control schematics for effective fault finding.
- Monitor electrical parameters including voltage, current, phase balance, insulation resistance, and earthing.
- Execute preventive-maintenance schedules and maintain equipment history, breakdown reports, checklists,



and maintenance records.
- Identify recurring electrical failures and support corrective/preventive actions to improve equipment reliability.
- Follow LOTO, Permit-to-Work, PPE, electrical safety, GMP, EHS, and site SOP requirements.
- Maintain valuable housekeeping in electrical rooms, panels, utility areas, and production areas.
- Coordinate with Production, Utility, HVAC, and Engineering teams during breakdowns, maintenance, installation, and equipment commissioning.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control circuits.
- Hands-on knowledge of motors, VFDs, MCC/PCC panels, starters, sensors, relays, and PLC-related circuits.
- Ability to use multimeter, clamp meter, megger, and other electrical testing instruments.
- Good electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of electrical safety, isolation, LOTO, and GMP practices.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation.
