QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND SKILL LEVELS:

Ø High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Ø Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field is preferred.

Ø A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Ø In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.

Ø Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.

Ø Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays and evenings.

Ø Effective problem-solving abilities.

Ø Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ø Must be well- organized and can prioritize tasks.

GENERAL AND TASK MANAGEMENT

Ø Ensure strict adherence to all relevant local guidelines for safety and productivity.

Ø Install highly technical mechanical equipment according to the manufacturer’s recommendations in a timely manner for an optimal production timeline that avoids lengthy periods without loss of business.

Ø Complete periodic maintenance of equipment and machinery by following the recommended upkeep schedule throughout the life of the devices.

Ø Troubleshoot common issues with equipment and assist operators with getting back to a productive mode.

Ø Repair machines in order to limit machinery downtime during the production calendar.





Ø Evaluate workspace safety on the production floor to ensure all staff is following guidelines with equipment.

Ø Complete a variety of tasks related to maintenance of machinery, including plumbing, electrical jobs, heating and air conditioning, structural concerns and more depending on the scope of the project.

Ø Maintain a clean and organized work area while completing tasks related to maintenance, repair or installation.

Ø Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards

Ø Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)

Ø Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary

Ø Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality

Ø Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed

Ø Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)

Ø Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide

Ø Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
