Role Description The Electrician role at KASHMIR POWER DISTRIBUTION COMPANY LIMITED is a full-time, on-site position based in Bandipura. The Electrician will perform day-to-day electrical work including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the power distribution network.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults, performing scheduled inspections, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and assisting in emergency response for outages or equipment failure. The role also involves collaborating with technical teams, maintaining accurate records of work performed,



and supporting continuous improvement of reliability and safety in the company’s electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications

- Strong practical knowledge of electricity and electrical work, including safe handling of electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience in maintenance & repair of electrical equipment and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues and identifying root causes of faults.
- Understanding of basic electrical engineering concepts relevant to power distribution.
- Relevant technical qualification or diploma in Electrical Trade or Electrical Engineering.
- Working knowledge of electrical safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Physical ability to work in office, including fieldwork, and willingness to work in varying weather and operational conditions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with supervisors and technical teams.
- Previous experience in utility, power distribution, or related sectors is an advantage.
