Role Description The Electrical Quality Manager for Control Panels is a full-time, on-site role located in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. The role involves overseeing quality assurance for electrical control panels, including inspection of incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and final products against technical specifications and industry standards. The person in this position will define and implement quality procedures, coordinate testing and validation, document non-conformities, and drive corrective and preventive actions with design, production, and procurement teams.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing drawings and wiring diagrams, supervising functional testing, maintaining compliance records, and preparing quality reports and documentation for internal stakeholders and customers.

The Electrical Quality

Manager will also mentor technicians on best practices,



support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of electrical control panels, power and control circuits, wiring practices, and relevant standards (e.g., IEC, IS, or equivalent).
- Experience in quality management for electrical or automation projects, including inspection, testing, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematic diagrams, BOMs, and technical specifications, and translate them into clear quality criteria.
- Proficiency with test instruments (multimeters, insulation testers, continuity testers, etc.) and familiarity with functional and FAT/SAT testing procedures.
- Knowledge of basic automation concepts such as PLC panels, drives, control systems, and panel integration within turnkey projects.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills, including preparation of quality checklists, inspection records, and customer-focused quality dossiers.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with design, production, purchase, and service teams on quality-related issues.
- Experience with continuous improvement methods (such as 5S, basic Lean or Kaizen) and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Attention to detail, systematic work style, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Relevant academic background such as a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
