We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance & Controls Engineer with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. The role will be responsible for electrical maintenance, PLCs, drives, control panels and electrical systems, with a focus on ensuring reliable plant operations and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems, machinery and plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems, drives, control panels and electrical controls.
- Handle electrical maintenance of furnaces and associated equipment.
- Identify electrical faults and undertake corrective actions to minimize production downtime.
- Support pre-commissioning / pre-phase electrical work, installation and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for smooth operation of plant equipment.
- Maintain electrical panels, motors, sensors, drives and related control systems.
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Follow all applicable electrical safety and plant safety procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of PLC, drives, electrical control panels and industrial electrical systems.
- Experience in furnace electrical maintenance will be preferred.
- Experience in pre-commissioning / installation / commissioning activities.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- MSCB licence / electrical supervisory licence or relevant statutory electrical certification would be an advantage.
- Ability to independently diagnose electrical and control-related issues.
Qualification Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Preferred Candidate Profile A hands-on electrical professional who is comfortable working on the shop floor, troubleshooting equipment, supporting production and handling electrical maintenance activities in a manufacturing plant.
