Position: Electrical Engineer – Boiler & Cable Laying

Project: Thermal Power Plant

Location: Patratu Jharkhand

Experience: 3–5 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Job Responsibilities

- Supervise and execute electrical cable laying activities in the Boiler area of a thermal power plant.
- Handle installation of power, control, instrumentation and auxiliary cables as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Supervise cable tray, cable rack and cable support installation.
- Ensure proper cable routing, dressing, tagging, glanding and termination.
- Coordinate cable laying activities with Boiler, Mechanical, C&I; and Civil teams.
- Check cable routes, tray levels, supports and clearances before cable laying.
- Ensure proper cable identification, segregation and spacing as per project requirements.
- Monitor cable pulling activities and ensure that cables are not damaged during installation.
- Coordinate with the testing & commissioning team for continuity, insulation resistance and other required tests.
- Maintain daily progress reports, cable schedules, quantity records and work completion reports.




- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, method statements, safety procedures and quality standards.
- Supervise manpower and subcontractor teams and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
- Identify site issues related to cable routing and coordinate with engineering/site management for resolution.
- Ensure compliance with PTW, electrical safety and site HSE requirements.

Required Skills
- Positive knowledge of thermal power plant electrical works, particularly Boiler-area activities.
- Practical experience in cable laying, cable tray installation, cable dressing, glanding and termination.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, cable schedules and layouts.
- Good manpower coordination and site supervision skills.
- Knowledge of electrical safety and quality requirements.

Preferred Experience: Candidates with experience in Thermal Power Plant / BHEL / Boiler electrical erection and cable laying projects will be preferred. Pay: ₹10,609.56 - ₹35,000.00 per month
