Electrical Design Engineer

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and engineering of electrical systems for EPC and power projects. The role will involve preparing engineering deliverables, electrical calculations, drawings, and coordination with various project disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and review electrical engineering designs for projects.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform electrical calculations including load schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit and equipment sizing.
- Prepare and review cable schedules, equipment specifications, BOQs/MTOs and technical datasheets.
- Design and engineering of HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, UPS, batteries and distribution systems.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation and other engineering disciplines.
- Review vendor drawings, technical offers and engineering documents.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable IEC/IS standards, project specifications and client requirements.




- Support technical discussions with clients, vendors and site/project teams.
- Participate in design reviews and resolve engineering/site-related technical issues.
- Maintain engineering documentation and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in electrical design/engineering.
- Experience in EPC, Power, Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy or Industrial Projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, standards and engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD; knowledge of ETAP / EPLAN / other electrical design software will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of electrical equipment, protection systems and power distribution.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Valuable coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience: EPC / Power Generation / Substations / Oil & Gas / Green Hydrogen / Renewable Energy projects
